Introductions and salutations

" Well, fancy meeting you here."

Funny, not funny story. I wrote this once and with immediacy it was deleted. No, not intentional, but with conviction.

For a work-a-holic, the Industry shut down was almost unbearable. I am not good with long downtimes. Work around them was slowly struck off the list, painting in my Studio would not be enough to calm and quiet the mind, and then after three months it came to me. Ceramics! Re-sparking lost muscle memory. After reaching out I thought, "I wonder if it's just like riding a bike.".

The Algorithm presented to me a Ceramics Studio, newly opened in Calgary, called Fired Clay. They had classes and memberships. I jumped in whole-heartedly, with out regret. Re-sparking that muscle memory. It was just like riding a bike.

This medium is humbling and I appreciate the mindfulness that exists around it. A medium that creates a connection between yourself and the piece. Both for the potter and the user. The right mug DOES make your coffee taste better.

To end this I just wish to thank you. Whether you have purchased pieces, shared and helped promote, or drinking a cup of coffee or Tea out of a mug I made..... thank you. There are so many ways to show support and I appreciate you. A special shout out to Fired Clay. For showing up like a beacon in the night and creating a sweet little community. Thank you

The next store drop should be in a week ish... There will be "Not Today, Satan...." mugs in that drop

Till next time

J.
